SiCA for Temperature TrackingWireless temperature tracking and asset monitoring
Introduction SiCA for Temperature Tracking is a robust and secure wireless temperature monitoring system designed for the pharmaceutical industry to provide real-time and historic records of temperature changes in medical devices, drugs and other temperature controlled assets.
Data is collected by accurate ambient temperature sensors or probes and stored in a central secure location to provide valuable quality control information which can dramatically improve batch traceability, reduce spoiling and guarantee standards compliance.
Temperature Logging EpiSensor's ambient and probe temperature sensors are designed to the highest standards and can be supplied certified by an approved temperature controlled lab. Outdoor and probe temperature sensor enclosures are waterproof (IP67) and can last for up to 10 years on a single battery.
They also have the ability to log temperature data in the event of a temporary loss of network connection that could occur while a batch is in transit.
Easily Extend the System EpiSensor's SiCA Platform is built on reliable and secure Zigbee™ wireless technology which operates in the internationally recognised 2.4GHz ISM band, similar to Wi-Fi™ and Bluetooth™. The extremely low power consumption of Zigbee™ based sensors allows battery powered devices to function for up to 10 years without maintenance.
The network operates as a self-healing mesh to overcome obstacles and changing environments. A distinct advantage of the system is that it can be expanded to include electricity or HVAC monitoring in a temperature controlled warehouse while using the same wireless infrastructure.
Remote Access and Alarms
An important feature of the SiCA Temperature Tracking system is that it provides access to temperature data from anywhere in the world via the web. Alarm thresholds and safe operating zones can be set and alerts sent when these levels are exceeded.
The system provides full traceability for temperature controlled assets and can be used on a single site or expanded across a full corporate structure. Software SiCA Studio desktop software connects to a SiCA Server via the web to query sensor data, export historical readings, issue network commands and export data to Excel for further analysis. Real-time data collected from multiple sites and warehouses can easily be compared to generate detailed performance metrics and reports for facility managers.
SiCA Server Software is designed to work with a range of robust industry standard databases and web servers to seamlessly integrate with existing IT systems.
