Introduction

The SLC-20 Street Light Controller can wirelessly monitor, dim and control any streetlight via the web using EpiSensor's SiCA Platform. The device includes an advanced on-board electricity monitor, accurate photo-sensor, 13A switch, Zigbee wireless communications module and an electronic ballast controller.

The integral mains power supply can function over a wide voltage range and the device is designed to withstand the most harsh environmental conditions.

Applications

The SLC-20 Street Light Controller can significantly reduce electricity consumption by dimming street lights during off-peak periods. This can save large amounts of money for local authorities while also reducing CO2 emissions.

Many SLC-20's connect together in a mesh network to form a street lighting control infrastructure that can cover large areas. The system can also detect lamp failures in real-time to increase customer satisfaction and reduce maintainance costs.
