Introduction

EpiSensor's RTH-21 Range Extender can increase the range of a wireless sensor network by up to 800m outdoors. It includes a high-gain directional antenna, mains power supply and a Zigbee wireless module which is fully compatible with EpiSensor's SiCA Platform.

The mains power supply is designed to work over a wide range of voltages and the RTH-21's enclosure is fully waterproof, which is ideal for use in harsh industrial environments. The device can be wall or pole mounted using pan & tilt brackets to achieve optimum coverage.

Applications

The RTH-21 is perfect for covering a large areas such as a warehouses, streets, factory floors & loading bays. It allows wireless nodes such as temperature sensors, electricity monitors & water meters to communicate with SiCA Gateways which would otherwise be out of wireless range.

Routing of nodes on Zigbee wireless network is managed automatically, so multiple RTH-21's can be used to increase the reliability of a wireless system.
