Introduction

EpiSensor's RTH-10 Range Extender can increase the range of a wireless sensor network by up to 800m outdoors. It includes a high-gain directional antenna and a Zigbee wireless module which is fully compatible with EpiSensor's SiCA Platform.

The RTH-10 is powered by a standard USB socket, but it does not require a PC to function. It is fully waterproof and suitable for harsh industrial environments. The device can be wall or pole mounted using pan & tilt brackets to achieve optimum coverage.

Applications

The RTH-10 is perfect for covering a large areas such as warehouses, streets, factory floors & loading bays. It allows wireless nodes such as temperature sensors, electricity monitors & water meters to communicate with SiCA Gateways which would otherwise be out of wireless range.

The routing of wireless nodes on a SiCA Platform network is managed automatically so multiple RTH-10's can be used to increase the reliability of a system.
