Introduction

The ADW-10 is a wireless reed switch for detecting the opening and closing of doors and windows in buildings via the web. It can be used with EpiSensor's SiCA Platform to initiate events which can control switches, detect presence or track activity.

The device can last up to 2 years on a single battery and has a wireless range of up to 50m indoors. It uses secure and reliable Zigbee communications technology to connect to EpiSensor's SiCA Gateways and deliver data to a central location.

Applications

This device can be used by facility or building managers to design control systems which can save energy, increase safety and track events on a wireless sensor network.

It can drive SiCA Platform events to switch electrical loads when doors are opened, increase safety by switching security lighting on when a room is occupied and track events such as the opening of fridge, store room or cabinet doors.
